Liking it so far
I finally broke down and got a stand mixer after my little handheld finally broke. I prefer a glass bowl but overall I chose this mixer after looking at all the reviews. I couldn't see paying another 50-100 for a kitchenaid just because it had doodads I won't even use.
This is easy to use and I like that the cord stores inside. The scraper mixer is okay, not great at scraping but mixes just fine. I haven't used the other attachments yet. That is why I only gave it a 4.

They thought of everything!
My husband bought me this mixer as a push present, after apparently carefully researching all stand mixers currently on the market... And the reviews were correct! Among its best attributes, this mixer is sturdy, incredibly easy to clean, and extremely user-friendly. I love that it has a lock to keep the top from falling down while I'm switching out the beaters or adding ingredients. The "no spatula needed" feature is much less frustrating than the other stand mixers on the market... I've had friends complain that they dislike not being able to scrape the sides while the mixer is on-- with this feature, it's not a problem. The digital timer and speed gauge add very convenient luxuries to the mixer; I love not having to set a timer while I'm combining ingredients.
And there are lots of other little things they added to make it easier to use-- a grip on the plug to keep you from eventually stripping the plastic on the cord from its wires, a handle on the bottom to easily grab it and move it across the counter, super easy-to-switch accessories, it's programmed to keep you from raising the speed too quickly so it won't easily break down, it's very quiet, the attachable splatter shield is awesome, and the brushed steel is beautiful and looks great in our kitchen... Just to name a few features.
Bottom line: Breville thought of everything, and I LOVE this mixer!

Very Happy!
For the past 8 yrs I have used a classic KA mixer. It was a sad day when mine died. I quickly went out to see which one I would replace it with. I was surprised at some of the reviews I was reading. After reading and searching many (and I mean MANY) reviews, I decided to go with the Breville. ( I drove my kids and my hubby crazy with my two week research mission! ) This mixer looks great on my counter. I love the style and the size. It is much quieter than my old mixer. I love the first level of mixing. My flour stays in the bowl! Did I mention it was quiet? :)
I have owned it for about 1 - 1 1/2 months now and I have made about 8 double batches of chocolate chip cookies in it. I have used and really like the paddle attachment when making the dough. It is a bit larger than my other mixer's attachment. It cleans easily and I like the quality of it. When mixing the dough I didn't find there was any problem and everything mixed up very well. The auto shut off did happen when my older daughter (12 yrs) was mixing the dough for me. I was telling her how to use it and she turned the knob to the level she thought would be good and just as I was telling her it sounded a little slow for what she was mixing. It shut off. Great feature! So I got out the book and it said to turn it to the off position and then unplug the unit and then plug it back in and turn back on. Worked perfectly fine!!
Another thing that I LOVE about this mixer is twisting the bowl out from the base. My other mixer I use to fight with twisting it out. Even had to have hubby hang on the to actual machine while I fought with the bowl part!! With this bowl I can easily use one hand to turn the bowl out.
I really LOVE this mixer. Very happy I purchased it. I hope my new stove comes soon because I am going through mixer withdrawals!

Love it
We went with Breville, even though I hadn't heard of the brand before, since I wasn't a fan of KitchenAid but there aren't many choices out there. I LOVE it! It has a ton of accessories, not as expensive as KitchenAid, and comes in the stainless steel that matches all our other appliances. We've had it 4 months and have liked everything about it. My mother made meringue for pie last night and was SUPER impressed with the ease and quality of the whipper. Highly recommend this product!
