love my new toy!
Having a toddler and 4 yr old and keeping the floors crumb free is next to impossible. My friends joke, it's like trying to brush your teeth while eating oreos. I'd finish vacuuming and 30 seconds later I would find crumbs on the floor. It made me nuts! I set it to run at night while we are sleeping and wake up to very crumb free floors! This is every mom's dream (aside from having someone else clean your house).

Great buy!
I just had hardwood floors installed in my kitchen and living room and struggled to keep the dog hair cleaned up from my black lab. The Roomba took only a short time to charge and set up and did an amazing job on the hardwood floors and several rugs. I am now using the scheduler to have it clean the rooms every few days and now I don't even notice the dog hair! A great investment!

Many improvements over the 560
My 2 Roomba 560's finally died after about 4 years each. After going without my daily helper for 6 months while I debated spending 400$ so that I didn't have to sweep the floor every day I finally ordered a Roomba 650 last week. Why did I wait so long?!? This model is quieter, actually slows down before it bashes into an object (this was my main complaint with the 560), doesn't get stuck in my thicker shaggy area rug like the old ones did and is generally smarter. I love the redesigned filter. it catches much more crud. The brushes and bearings are greatly improved too. It is already disgusting me each time I send it on a mission with the globs and globs of cat and dog hair that were hiding on our hardwood and carpeted floors. All it took was one mission to remind me why a Roomba is worth every penny if you have kids and pets and don't (or won't) sweep your floors every day. I program mine to run at 2am daily in my large wood floored kitchen/family room. It doesn't wake me up when it runs and every morning the grit is gone! Just remember to empty the dust bin and dig the fur out of the bearings every day and Roomba will be your best buddy for a long time. I am disappointed that my old lighhouses are not compatible with the new model and I will have to invest in a couple more than the 1 that comes with it. But that is my only complaint.

BEST Roomba yet!
You have not had clean floors until you have had Roomba 650. I purchased this Roomba in January 2013 and my floors have been daily vacuumed and perfect ever since. My Roomba is scheduled to vacuum daily. I also take this Roomba, who our family and friends affectionately named 'Spock', with me on house sitting gigs. One family I house sit for has 3 extremely active dogs who shed every second of the day, everywhere. 'Spock' not only vacuums the floor with ease, but keeps it spotless.
Roomba's are not with out maintenance. Once you have used it on a regular basis in your home for a week or two, then the maintenance does become easier. With this said, if you are not willing to occasionally press the clean button, help Roomba in rare moments of being stuck, empty Roomba every 2-3 days, clean the brushes once a week, and take 15 minutes at least once a month to deep clean the whole thing, then Roomba is not for you. For me though, I am okay with maybe only taking 2-3 minutes at maximum out of my day to have a perfectly vacuumed floor every single day. This little guy has been able to vacuum spaces ranging from 1000 sq ft to 2750 sq ft with ease. To say I love Roomba, is an understatement. Have a great day! I hope this helps in some way!
