| As you begin this exciting and overwhelming process of registering, I’d like to share the top 10 items that I would register for, if I could do it all over again. | |
| Remember: | |
| Anything you DON’T register for, you will have to go out and buy, so think big and think 12 months of the year. | There are many presents in your future, from engagement gifts to a bridal shower, so think bathroom accessories to gardening. |
| Register for enough items in varying price points, so it's easy for guests to buy something you want. | Trust your Bed Bath & Beyond® Registry Consultant – walk the store together. They will help get your creative juices flowing! |
bedding basics
This is the time you are joining his/her stuff, and maybe it’s time to start fresh. What is better than a fresh clean bed? Start with a basic, great quality comforter, a high quality set of white sheets and new yummy pillows. It’s always important to have the great quality basic white set as your staple. Just the thought of a clean white bed is delicious!Thank goodness there is a pillow thickness for everyone, as my husband and I differ completely, fluffy vs. firm.
Vacuum Cleaners
group gift or from a family
member…and you probably
need a good one! I love the Miele Upright. If you are in
an apartment and need to save room, the Dyson Hand
Vac rocks it. It performs as great as it looks.

seasonal items

When you are registering, see what is in Bed Bath & Beyond® for your
wedding season. For example, if it’s May to September, why not register for
a BBQ? Add the accouterments…the grilling utensils, cleaners and the
many fun accessories that go with the grill.
While you are outdoors enjoying the
weather, why not register for
furniture and some great outdoor
umbrellas? The whole outdoor patio
situation gets expensive, and for this,
you may need more than a blanket.
Thinking about all the seasonal items
may not be the first thing on your mind when
your engagement ring goes on, but at some
point you are going to need items that are
useful all year round. For fall and winter
months, remember holiday décor, Thanksgiving
dishware, and those practical items like a snow
blower and a fire pit for s’mores and cocktails.

china!!

I love the Vera Wang lace set of china mixed with different fun everyday china and a fun charger. Remember, register for large sets, like 12 settings, with an extra thrown in for the clumsy guest.
In my house, my husband cooks and I set a mean table and invite way more people than I should (hey, I’m a party planner…I can’t help myself). Just mixing a fun color or an interesting charger can funk up your whole look for your table. Register for the good stuff, the fine china and the bone china. You will have it forever and life is long, you will have many family events later in your life, and will want to entertain at home.
A great way to spruce
up your table is by
adding a gorgeous
colored glass in
addition to your
classic stemware. I
LOVE the Noritake
Palais black crystal
or the Mikasa French
ruby, amethyst or
smoke goblets.
accessories
Think 10+ years down the road. While it seems overwhelming to think of both sides of the families coming over for dinner, it will happen. You will need platters, bowls, serving dishes, extra flatware and serving utensils. Being embarrassed about your tableware will never be the issue if you plan ahead and think about your kids and large family celebrations.
For a girls lunch or dinner, I’m
OBSESSED with the Lenox Floral
Fusion Aqua Dinnerware. I mean, they
are to have a nervous breakdown they
are so GORG!

Luggage
Please, I beg of you, get your luggage. Bed Bath & Beyond® carries amazing brands, such as Tumi and Samsonite. To this day I regret not having a great durable full set of matching luggage. My family looks like the Beverly Hillbillies rolling into town with 20 different pieces of luggage. You’ll thank me later, I promise, and when the little ones come, you’ll need more.
Even if you don’t see it on the floor, it’s there, so don’t be like a typical man with directions. Keep searching, ask the wedding consultants for help, and they can find it online for you, or at another store and you can register for it right there.

basics
Whether it’s a cozy night at home or an unexpected slumber party with the future in-laws, everyone needs extra blankets, pillows and a set of those great white sheets!

storage bins
In my dreams, I have closets the size of my master bedroom. But since that dream has not materialized yet, I’m a storage bin freak. They are essential! Register for different types – industrial ones, fashionable ones.

utility
I give to you as my last item, a lifelong peace-making gift as you begin this new chapter with your newly betrothed. I’m advising you all to register for the 2-in-1 Recycle Garbage Can. This can avoid the “taking out the garbage fight.” And will save you years of arguments over who did/who didn’t recycle…trust me, it’s worth it!
Congratulations, lovebirds…I wish you love, health, happiness and the ability to get good gifts!
Jennifer
