Hand forged knives are the top of the line in quality. It's one of the oldest methods of construction using handcraftsmanship, producing the strongest and sharpest blade.
All straight-edge knives need sharpening, but knives with serrated edges do not. Remember, a dull knife can be more dangerous than a sharp one.
Nonstick surfaces may be scratched with metal utensils, so try wood or plastic instead.
