Broke:(
Loved it and worked well for a few years then the plastic holding the lid broke. No good if the lid doesn't work. For the $ should have held up better.

Worth the money
We received this 4 years ago for a wedding gift. It is the best trash can. It still works as well as the day we got it. Simplehuman makes great trashcans.

Wonderful
I love this garbage can. I thought I was nuts for spending so much on a garbage can but I feel it is well worth it. I have an almost 3 yr old and she just now firgured out how to open it. Just don't put it flush against a wall about an inch away if you step to hard it will flly back and bang the wall. The quiet closure is nice to when she is sleeping.
