Not like it used to be
Been using this pot for over 40 years. They used to be excellent and last a long time. I have had to purchase 2 in the last 3 years, as they started perking less and the coffee was like tea. Terrible. I am so disappointed in the quality of this product. I will now look for another brand, as this one has seen its better day. Such a shame, because for years this is all I bought and the only one I would recommend to friends.

These used to be great
I have always used a percolator because they made the coffee hot and there wasn't any glass carafe to store. Have used Farberware percolators for 30 years. I noticed the metal (particularly in the top cover) had gotten thinner over the years (probably the last 5 or so). Also I have been replacing them about every year for the last few years. I am done. The quality of this product is no longer there.

Same old pot.
When I was first married 42 years ago we used this coffee pot. Then we changed to drip coffeemakers. We have hard water, I am really tired of calcium buildup slowing the preperation of my morning cup of Joe. I am also tired of the tiresome cleaning out of the calcium buildup in a drip coffee maker. Now I am back to a percolator, namely the Farberware. Even though it is made slightly differently, it works the same as 42 years ago. It is quick and makes great coffee. May I suggest to those who cannot figure out why their coffee is weak, they may want to put more coffee in the basket!

so far so good .?
I had and old farberward 2-4 cup for the last 8 years , the new one is about 3 mouths or so , real hot all the time just like the old one , but time will tell, IT not made here, but like evey thing in the usa , they are selling all american out . If i have to by a new one , IT well be american made, not china.
