Lids are key
I bought this set in the store because the bowls were affordable. However, once I started using them I realized how useful it is to have lids! Everyone should have mixing bowls with lids...even if you don't think you need bowls with lids you'll soon realize the convenience of storing things in the bowls like the salsa you were making. Just pop a lid on and stick it in the fridge.

Love These Mixing Bowls
I received these bowls as a wedding gift, unsure of the product because of the reviews, but loving the stainless steel. When i opened them, i couldn't get the lids on...UNTIL i realized that if you press on the MIDDLE of the lid when it is in the correct place on the bowl, it pushes the air out, and suctions to the bowl (VERY EASILY). LOVE IT! i was very happy that the lids actually do work :)

bowls good, lids terrible
I bought these to replace old plastic mixing bowls. The metal bowls are very nice, good sizes, but the lids DO NOT stay on. No matter what I tried, they came off. I returned them to the store, as I wanted storage/mixing bowls. Very disappointing.

So disappointed!
As another reviewer has stated, the lids on these bowls do not work at all! I would not definitely NOT.... go for the glass Pyrex ones instead. I am very unhappy with my BBB purchase and think this is yet another example of the, at times, poor quality items this store carries. :(
