great carafe I've had my carafe for about 5 years before the tab broke off. I contacted the manufacturer and went through the contact us, consumer inquiries. The company has been very helpful in trying to fix my problem. I was asked to send a photo of the carafe and lid. Now they are asking for my address! I'm thinking this means they are going to replace for free? I will update when I find out for sure May 22, 2013
Bad lid I bought this carafe for my husband for Christmas. It was a good carafe until the lever on the lid that is pushed down to dispense coffee broke off, rendering the whole carafe useless. My husband really liked this carafe until the lid malfunctioned. I purchased the carafe at Bed Bath & Beyond but they said that they do not have replacement lids that I would need to contact the manufacturer about getting a replacement lid. I have tried to contact the manufacturer, OGGI Corporation, but cannot contact anyone because I do not have a password to get to the sight where I suppose I would need to be. I tried to enter my name & create a password but am just told that my name & password do not exist! Such a "run around" & all I want to do is buy a new lid. It appears other consumers have had the same problem with the lid. It's too bad because this could have been a great product if not for the lid. And it could be a fair product if there were some consumer service in place to be able to get a replacement lid. April 1, 2013
Poor design bad cap It has always been difficult to pour from caraffe to mug. Now the upper tab that needs to function to pour has broken off. Purchaed due to its large capacity September 15, 2012
Bad cap - poor design or defective? Excellent all around except that the cap on mine fills up with coffee !!! which then comes out the thumb lever hole and goes everywhere when you take the cap off or tilt the carafe too far back. Since none of the other reviewers mention this major PITA and deal-breaker, it must be that mine is defective. I will amend this review when I either get a new cap from the manufacturer or return it.
