Surprised
I received this as a gift and was (obviously) disappointed when it broke. Same problem as listed above with the metal piece going into the gears of the handle breaking. Initially I was going to email the company demanding they replace the unit as I have not had it very long. However, now realizing how inexpensive it is, perhaps I will invest in something else. (as well as harrass my cheap friend that got for me!! Lol) No reason to point out, you get what you pay for and while it is really nice to have a stand that you can leave it set out in, perhaps I will look at a cased rabbit.
I have to say, fantastic point about the fact that it costs more for a decent bottle of wine, really puts things in perspective!

Good Deal
Opted for this set because I was being cheap and hoping to add the real Rabbit to my Christmas list. I am pleasantly surprised with this set and it has good weight. The test of time will determine how good it truly is but I will keep in my mind that I only paid $12 for it. The bottle of wine cost more than that!!

The best
There are better foil cutters -- buy them separately. But the 'Rabbit" lookalike is terrific. For $10-$12 you get a metal equivalent to the plastic name-brand. My friends' real Rabbits fro $40-$50 break in two uses also. When used properly, this metal one lasts a long time, and you get one replacement coil. If it ever breaks-- only happened once, many years ago -- invest your next $12 in another one. You are still way ahead of the MetroKane one that also can break in two uses. It is the easiest, best corkscrew around, when used properly. And you'll look so cool . . .

don't waste your money!
i bought this neat gift for my daughter for Xmas; and after only 2 uses - it broke/quit working!
my recommendation - don't buy this one!
or any product made in china, for that matter!!
