Forgot to mention in previous review: I only said "yes" to recommending this product because there wasn't a "maybe" choice.

Kitchen Aid food processor 9 cup
Gave this product 3 stars because I have only done one thing with it so far and that was trying to mix Toll House cookie dough. Did not like the way it mixed the dough; finally took the dough out of the processor bowl and finished mixing by hand in a separate bowl. Dough was very very soft; not liquid but very soft. May have turned to semi liquid had I not removed it when I did. I will say I had much less hand mixing to do but again, the dough was very soft and somewhat difficult to flatten out with a fork . Also thought the resulting cookies were rather dry;
The mixing would have been much better if the dough blade had several levels of blades on it. The dough did not turnover in the processor. It just spun around at the bottom of the bowl without taking much of the top layers and mixing them in. This leads me to think kneading bread dough might not be very successful. Again, I think kneading would be better with a multi level dough blade.
The directions say not to use any mixture with more than 2 or 3 cups of flour. The cookie recipe had 2 1/4 cups of flour. The processor was quite full with the flour and the rest of the ingredients.
Other reviewers in various sites mentioned bigger than 9 cups is not needed. I tend to disagree if one is going to use this item for more than chopping/dicing.
I was quite disappointed in the amount of scratches in the bowl after just one use. Didn't think the bowl would scratch like it did.
I will leave the current rating at 3 stars. I just hope chopping/dicing doesn't lower the rating.

KitchenAid 0922 Food Processor
I read several negative reviews about the lid being soooo difficult to open/close on this Kitchenaid food processor. Went to store to look for myself. The display was stuck closed and would not seem to open. When I finally got it open, I realized that the mini bowl was not inserted correctly. It has tabs that fit into a certain notch. After putting it in correctly it opens and closes easily! I do lots of home canning and I love the adjustable slicer. Have used it for cucumbers and peppers. Great pepper rings! Also chopped vegetables very finely for soup. Works great. Worth the money if you have been slicing by hand or using a very old processor like I was.

Terrible!
This product is awful! Very difficult to get started have to press extremely hard on middle piece before it will even work. Would never buy one again!
