Not Impressed!
This mattress topper isn't completely awful, but I would say it is below average. The memory foam is 2.5" with 1/2" memory foam built into the cover - at least that's what the box states. The memory foam never reaches the claimed 3" which wouldn't really matter if the topper was denser and supportive. As soon as you lay on it, the topper bottoms out and the cover wrinkles. I am a nursing student and have chronic back pain. I have tried over 5 mattress topper, 2 others also at BB&B. If you are looking for Cloud 9 comfort, do not purchase this product. I recommend trying this company's other memory foam product - the original Therapedic 3" topper. Not only is it more affordable, but it is 100x more comfortable! Try it, you won't be displeased :)

Now we look forward to a good nights sleep
We purchased this mattress topper over 2 months ago. I wanted to wait to submit a review to see how the topper held up after time. We are very happy with it and it feels just as good today as it did when we first put it on. The first day there is an odor, so open it up in the morning and air out the room, then put a light blanket over for the first night. It should be fine after that. We owned a tempurpedic king mattress but sold it when we sold our house. The furnished condo we are in has a firm mattress, so with this on top it feels the same as the tempurpedic mattress we had, which also had a new mattress smell. This is better because it's on a firm mattress, with the tempurpedic mattress you sink in because of not having a firm mattress to stop you. This is the best of both, tempurpedic and firm. Give it a try, we are glad we did :) Sweet dreams

It fits!
Forgot to mention in my previous review that the pad size is great. When you first unwrap it, it's smashed flat and about 6 inches short in both directions. It fully expanded in less than an hour in all directions, leaving a small gap of about an inch or so at the edge of the bed. The gap is not noticeable after the bottom sheet is put on the bed.

Read the specs and reviews - good but...
First, it's a bad idea to buy a topper without feeling it in the store. Some toppers are so flimsy that they will do nothing more than make your bed look inviting then become paper when you lay on them. This one has more stability to it than any other we saw, but we had to hunt to find a store with stock. Most foam mattresses have a density rating, lower is softer. Most at BBB were 2.5 lbs, very soft. 4lbs is pretty firm. This one doesn't have a rating but was more firm than the rest by a long shot. That said, it compresses fully under the heavier body areas, but not so much under say legs and arms. This gives the cuddly feeling, fitting up into the nooks and crannies of your body, but I'd be hard pressed to say it offers substantial support. We added it on top of our old tempurpedic which finally became a bit rock hard. We wanted a bit of softness that would not flatten completely and this did it better than we thought the others would. It is more expensive but we chose it in lieu of a new mattress so the price made sense.
Regarding odor: It did not smell upon opening but we broke the rules and slept on it the first night. Big mistake. Heat and movement helps the necessary outgassing occur so we were awakened a lot due to burning nostrils. We left it on the bed with windows open for two days and it aired out very well. We put triple sheets and a comforter under the top sheet for extra cush, and now barely smell a thing. After a few weeks I think we can take the sheets back to one.
We're happy with the product and would recommend it but not for someone with chemical sensitivities.
