Not impressed
The knives are okay. I was expecting something much more after reading the reviews. They did not meet my expectation. I feel that the knives are too dull. When you are cutting or chopping the knife should go through the product with ease and not require any type of force. I had to use my knife sharpener to make them sharper. I shouldn't have had to use the knife sharpener yet since they are new. I will not buy this product again.

Fabulous Knives!
I did A LOT of research on cutlery and J. A. Henckles before making my purchase; from how they are made to what the most commonly used knifes are. I decided on this set because if offered everything that I wanted - ergonomic handles, forged stainless steel, storage block, perfectly weighted, the types and sizes of knives that I wanted and extra slots in the block to add more knives. (I added a matching bread knife that I purchachased separately) I also liked that the space for the sharpening steel could hold a knife instead of the steel. These knives are great! They cut with ease and the look great on my counter. Couldn't ask for a better set! I am very careful to hand wash and dry thouroughly then immediatley return them to the block to prevent any damage or rust. I would recommend these to anyone who want a great knife without breaking the bank!

Kitchen Essential
I registered for these knives when I got married, to replace an old set. I didn't notice how terrible the old set was until I had this sharp, solid set. A great basic set to get your collection started!
