Not great
Comes out pretty dry. Maybe I am using it wrong but the directions were poor and mostly in Japanese so it was difficult to know what to do if you have never used a rice cooker before. Still experimenting.

Very Pleased
My hubby and I received this as a wedding gift and are very happy with it. Rice is one of my hubby's favorite foods - especially the sticky rice. This cooker does great!
Rice cookers can be notorious for burning the rice at the bottom of the cooker, and that was something we definitely had our eye on when we began using this one. We found that this one CAN burn the rice if you make a small batch... However, if you make a good sized batch, it does not burn at all. We usually make up a large batch on the weekend and then refrigerate the left-over amount to eat throughout the week. If you are a single person who wants to make small batches of rice, you may want to choose a smaller cooker. However, this cooker has been fantastic for large amounts.
The cooker is easy to use, and switches automatically to the 'keep warm' feature when the rice is done cooking. Also easy to clean. We're very satisfied.

Rice Cooker or Not
My friend told me I didn't need a rice cooker but I did some research and decided I did as I was tired of gummy rice that I made on the stovetop. I looked for one that was stainless steel and found the Oyama. Last night I cooked my brown basmati rice with a little turmeric and little sesame oil and it came out fluffy with each grain separate. I am very happy I bought this rice cooker and it makes perfect rice. I look forward to a long, happy relationship with it (smile).
