Handle broke after First Use
My experience is similar to many others it appears. It was a wedding gift for us. We got it out for the first time when family was at our house and the handle broke at the base. It's never been dropped or anything; was just full of ice water and the handle broke with the weight.

Cracked Mikasa handle
I used the pitcher once that I received as a housewarming gift--took the pitcher out for X--Mas eve and the handle cracked off in my hand. I would not receommend this item.

DISAPPOINTING
I used the pitcher twice and then picked it up and the handle came off in my hand.

Wonderful - Just as I anticipated!
As a lover of Mikasa Cheers glassware I have goblets, martinis and other Cheers glass sets with the pitcher just received complementing my collection. The pitcher received is just as anticipated - sturdy, while not sacrificing style, not too small or too big volume wise - just perfect. Love it!
