Waste of money
Useless. Period. I chilled the ingredients to the point of the cream freezing, the tub still wasn't able to bring the mixture down to the temp of making ice cream. Perhaps if making the smallest amount of ice cream possible, the tub would have enough temp. differential to freeze everything. I tried making 10oz., no way is it happening with this amount. What is the point of an ice cream machine that doesn't make ice cream? What this makes is soup, as one other poster put it. Just dump some cream into a glass, freeze it for a while, then shake it up. Same result-a cold liquid you have to put in the freezer to set up. I am very wary of anyone else saying it works well, and wouldn't be surprised if they were placed reviews.

Great Birthday Gift!
I am addicted to ice cream! Even so, I know today's ice cream contains all kinds of additives that aren't healthy for us.... say nothing about the fat content alone. Getting this as a gift has changed all of that. First I tried the vanilla ice cream recipe only to find that I had soupy ice cream. I put it back in the freezer for a few and that was the answer. Also turn the freezer temp to colder when storing the bowls. I've also used fresh orange juice with strawberry juice. WOW! Rather then drinking orange juice I'd much rather eat it as sorbet. It has become my daily splurge and it's healthy. Maybe once a week I will make vanilla. Yes, I am very happy with this product. Wish storage covers to the dishes had come with it so it could be stored in the freezer with the ice cream in them, however, I am happy with it anyway and I just add plastic over the top. Very seldom do I leave it in the freezer that long with ice cream already in it. P.S. I find if I press down on the cover lightly, right after I add the ingredients while it starts churning, for about a minute or more, it will help minimize the caking on the sides of the ice cream dish. Then I let it go and keep checking it.

Great size desert
just bought this and while there doesn't seem to be a large amount of recipes for it makes the perfect sizes of ice cream. It does say to put the bowl in the very back of the freezer and that does make a difference on how the ice cream sets up. Perfect for kids to make their own. I usually let set in the freezer a bit after making as it really is soft serve consistency

AWESOME!
Yummy and Tasty Homemade Icecream! So, I was worried when I read the other reviews but I bought it anyway, and boy am I glad I did! You have to freeze the bowls BEFORE each use for at least 8HRS. So it is easier to just leave bowls in freezer. You need to mix everything and place in fridge to chill. I make up a few batches in a large measuring cup with a lid and leave in fridge for a few days when we are on an ice cream kick so it is ready to go. Then you pour in frozen bowl, add lid and let it do the work for 15 mins. You do need to let it set for 2MINS with the lid on!! This will help it firm up. Then eat!! Yummy!
