Love them all!
I bought one of the smaller sets years ago I think it was 07 or 08 and loved them so much we have since purchased all of the additional knives, poultry shears and scissors. We even bought 12 steak knives. I just wish we could buy the large knife block alone. We take care of them and they work great. We have only had them sharpened once but we do use the steel to keep the edge.

Last knives you will buy
Though made in China, there is no denying the Japanese rolled steel. Couple these knives with the Spyderco knife sharpening kit and the edge on these knives are like razors. You can literally shave arm hair easily. The key though is the Spyderco knife sharpener kit (amazon has them) as once you watch the video that comes with it, you will find yourself sharpening everything in the house from scissors to pruners to anything that has an edge that cuts. These knives become so sharp you can actually feel the roll on the blade and with one swipe on the last sharpening block you take the roll off and you now have a kitchen knife as sharp as a razor. They hold their edge for up to 180 days on the knives I use the most. Never dishwasher them. Always simply rinse off, wipe down and be careful as you will cut a whole in the towel if you do not hold it right. There is a wide variety of blades available in this set. Mine did not come with a roast fork but if you buy 'Jamie Oliver's' - if they have it here- great- otherwise (amazon)- it will fit the fork slot perfectly. Warn relatives who help cook as they will not have any idea how sharp these knives truly are- just resting the chef knife on a plum tomato and pulling the plum tomato without and weight on the knife and the blade slides right through the tomato.

These Knives are Wonderful!
Growing up in a family where we had low-quality, dull knives made me dream of having high-quality, sharp knives when I would have my own home. My siblings got this set for me and my husband for our wedding. We love them! I use the paring knives every day for cutting fruit, veggies, cheese, etc. The steak knives cut steak beautifully. I bake my own bread, so the bread knife has been a great asset. We have followed the directions to sharpen the knives often on the included knife sharpener, and they are staying nice and sharp. I love the Japanese knives too, and hope to learn how to use them in Japanese cooking (we love sushi!). These knives have a very aesthetic appearance and the handles are ergonomic and pretty at the same time. Good job, Calphalon!
