Best basic grinder!
If you're looking for a basic, manual grinder that is quick, simple, quiet, and mess-free, then this is the one for you! The cup is conveniently stamped with measurements so you don't have to guess the amount of beans to use. Unlike other grinders that cause static cling and make a mess, the grounds slide neatly and easily from the stainless steel grinding cup. The grounds also stay cool while grinding, so it better preserves the aroma and flavor of your coffee. Although there are no automatic timed grind settings, it's easy to see through the clear lid to check the texture. After a couple of uses, you'll know how long to grind the beans for your desired fineness. It cleans up easily because the stainless steel bowl, blade and top are all dishwasher safe. My only complaint is that the power cord is quite long and there is no way to retract the extra length. Overall, I would purchase this again and again.

Just Okay.
I had a 30-year old coffee grinder that I inherited from my grandmother that worked better than this one. The blades aren't very sharp so you have to grind the beans longer if you want a finer grind, and the well is too deep and the grounds get stuck to the very bottom when grinding fresh beans. It's a mess trying to scrape them out. The sensor that makes the motor start when you press down on the top of the grinder is not very perceptive, so I have to push down extra hard at times just to get it to work. I wouldn't necessarily recommend this grinder unless you don't mind having to deal with all of these things *before* you've had your morning coffee!

Would like it better if it had automatic timed grind ability. Have to time it for yourself. Good looking and is quiet. Only complaint is that it does not gime the grind.

Happy With It
I am a new coffee drinker who needed a way to grind the whole beans I had purchased after a recent trip to Kona. After researching several grinders from different companies, this is the one that seemed to best suit my needs. After using it, I was so happy with it that I also purchased another one to give as a Christmas gift.
It grinds the beans quickly and uniformly and has the capacity to grind enough to use for a few days before grinding a fresh batch. The unit is solidly built, and I am happy with its ease of cleaning after use. It has a nice design: compact enough for easy storage, but also looks nice if it is left out on the counter. A good value for the money-- I don't see how I could have made a better choice.
