Grateful family who lost everything received this gift for Christmas. West Bend is a good name brand and is very dependable, easy to operate and the end result is quite tasty.

Great so far
works great. Not to thrilled with the recipes that are included so if you have your own, use them.
The only complaint about the breadmaker itself is that while it is kneading the dough it walks off the counter so you have to watch closely until you can figure out a way to keep it in place.

Good Purchase
I have only bought this machine a month ago and can not speak about durability. But I really like the Jam function which I use not only for the recommended strawberries but also for apples. It tastes great and takes only hour to make.

More than your money's worth
I have made 4 recipes so far - and it does take some getting used to, mostly knowing your ingredients. The recipe book/manual has wonderful trouble-shooting tips to help you adjust recipes (eg - if the loaf collapses, add less yeast or liquid, or when to check the dough to know if it is too wet or too dry)
The corners seem to not mix great, but my loaves come out overall evenly cooked, well risen and delicious!
Another bonus, it is very quiet - I set it to delay to run overnight and do not wake up until the "ready" beeps (a very nice alarm!)
