Broke prematurely!
I bought this EXPENSIVE mixer on the recommendation of a BBB employee when I told her I was looking for a powerful mixer for my Christmas gingerbread cookies. It broke after a dozen uses. I went online to find out about repairing the unit and found out that this happened to the majority of users and the company does not repair their mixer. Would not recommend. Going back to BBB this weekend to see if they can assist.

It broke!
Overall I like this mixer. At first I didn't like the retractable cord but this feature will grow on you. There is no low speed, just med to high. This seems to be the norm for hand mixers. Anyhow, I had it for about two years and then while preparing my side for Thanksgiving the darn thing breaks. The motor was running but the beaters stopped spinning. I was bummed! I usually keep my receipts and boxes just in case this sort of thing happens, but of course I can't find either. I went to get a new mixer and Dualit was not available in the store I was in so I thought I would try the Breville - same price, plus I have their toaster and I like it. Opened it and it doesn't seem to have the quality of the Dualit plus the release button is hard to push. I may return the Breville and go back to the Dualit and this time hold onto my receipt.
