Daughter Loves it!
Bought this for my 14 year old daughter. It sits between her bed and makeup table so she can have some light for reading in bed, and some focused on her when she sits to do her hair and makeup. The rest bounce off the wall and ceiling. With all 5 lit, it lights up the room really bright. She doesn't know how she lived without it now that she has it. The colors are fun and match her room. I've not had any problems with it at all, but the shades are plastic and feel a little cheaper than I expected. I do constantly check them, and they've not ever been hot to the touch. I used the light bulbs supplied though, and I would bet if I used a regular incandescent bulb, they would get hot.

multi five light
Bought this less than a year ago. Used only 60 watt bulbs. It burns the plastic shades and the plastic lining around the bulb area. Seems like a fire hazard to me so we are getting rid of it.

Nice looking but problems with parts
I ordered this lamp online since it is over 20 miles to my closest store. When I received it and attempted to assemble it one of the lamp shades was completely different than the others. I drove to the store for a replacement shade and they were very nice, replaced it, and gave me a 20% refund when I explained I lived in another city.
I got home, finished assembling the lamp and plugged it in. One of the light bulbs didn't work at all, and a 2nd bulb made a buzzing sound for about 30 minutes and then died. I had to drive to the store again to get replacement bulbs.
Overall the staff at the store was very nice and apologetic about the whole thing but I was very disappointed it took two tries to get the lamp working properly. Now that its working I like it a lot. I would suggest going to a store to purchase it and having them open up everything in store, make sure all the right parts are there and that the light bulbs work before you leave.
