Doesn't work!
I received this as a gift from my wedding registry. I pulled it out to use for the first time and it worked just fine. The second time, all zero's on the screen. Also, I assume it would eat batteries since there is no on off switch.... It stays on forever. I wouldn't want it to automatically shut off on me all the time either but I would rather have the control of it! I plan to get the retro food scale next b/c I trust it and doesn't need batteries.... same price and same max weight.

This scale is quite fiddly
I bought this scale to replace a Salter scale that had failed after many years of use. This is a poor replacement. It turns on at the slightest touch, even the bending force of picking the unit up is enough to trigger the on switch. Turning it off requires an extended press on the ON/OFF/TARE button. Result: battery life is very short.
There is no tactile feedback in the buttons in fact, the buttons don't seem to move at all. It is very hard to judge the force needed since the response time to the buttons (except the ON function) seems slow.

Not sure yet
I have used it a couple times and worked fine. However, I am concerned about the battery life. I wish it had an off switch. It takes forever to turn itself automatically. I wouldn't want it to turn off automatically sooner b/c if you are using it and need to turn it on every few seconds that would be annoying too. But it needs an OFF switch! This might get returned for that reason!

Worst kitchen scale ever
I purchased this scale because my other Salter scales have been great. This one doesn't work consistently and is very frustrating to use. The battery also does not last long. I liked the design and thought that it would be easy to use - just push the mode that you want, but that was not the case. The mode never stays on the mode that I've selected and it takes several times trying to get the mode that I want to use. This is the most disappointing product that I have ever purchased and the worst investment in a kitchen product that I have ever made.
