Not truly "Blackout" - misleading name
I have a pair of true blackout curtains that I purchased several years ago from BBB. These curtains are not "Blackout" and the name is very misleading. It's one thing to darken a room, but it's a completely another thing to "black" it out. These curtains are inappropriately and misleadingly labeled "blackout" when they do no such thing. I give it a poor review because they do not fulfill the promise of their name.

Not a blackout, but not bad
These curtains are a great, cheaper option than other styles and products. However, hanging them below a tab-top curtain set was a little difficult--a lot of re-hooking--and the curtain really pulls down, after all, it's a heavy curtain. To say, I think that I would like it more if I hung it separately on a different rod. In terms of light-reduction, they really do make a difference. I also secured them to the wall around the window in one spot with a little tape, just to block out any morning sun that might want to peek in on the sides. (I'm trying to convince my child to not wake up at 5 AM.)

Good but not great
These liners do not completely block out light, but they do darken the room. They by no means totally black it out like really high end hotel rooms. I wish they came in a longer length than the 80" that was readily available in the store. (I know Pottery Barn has longer lengths but online only and I needed now; not sure about BBB). That being said, they do dramatically cut down on the light and heat, and are a good, inexpensive alternative to having custom black out blinds made. I'd have custom made if I wasn't renting, but in the mean time, I'm pretty happy with these.
