Amazing
Ok, I am not going to sit here and act like I have a lot to compare these to. I had a decent set of Sabatiers that were a gift for Christmas a few years ago. They were a good starter set, but I needed more. Since we had money to burn in the form of BB&B gift cards from our wedding I figured this was a good time to splurge.
The first thing that caught my eye was how attractive these were. The knife block is so different, and the shiny black finish on the knives played right into my desire to not have anything that is run of the mill.
The knives are much lighter than other premium forged blades. In my opinion this is a good positive because when I am cutting up veggies for stew I don't want to feel like my hand can't pick anything up when I am done. They are VERY sharp, as they should be with a new premium set. I can not speak for the longevity of the finish or how well they will keep an edge, but I use epicurean cutting boards so I don't anticipate the blades not holding up. I will update this in a few months if I run into any issues.
