Best Hoover yet!
This machine is my third Hoover, first bagless, replacing the WindTunnel Anniversary bagged model. It's fantastic! With three cats, one who is longhaired, vacuuming is a daily occurrence here. I'm almost embarrassed to see how much dirt it finds in my carpets, even with daily use. I've had the machine for three weeks and am still amazed. I thought I'd miss not having a self-propelled vacuum, but this one's so easy it doesn't need to be self-propelled.
Things I particularly like: 1) the cord retractor - no more winding the cord around the back and watching it fall right back off. 2) The power pet-hair tool - WOW! It truly works, much more so than the previous versions from the older machines. 3) The machine is also easy to clean. Things that could be improved: 1) The tools WILL NOT stay on the handles as shown in the book. C'mon, Hoover, you've done so much better in this area in other machines, you really need to fix this! 2) When I'm using the power pet-hair tool, the "problem indicator" always goes red, even though the hose, brush roller, and the tool are all clean and air is flowing free. As soon as I remove the pet hair tool, the indicator goes back to green immediately.

Do not buy if you have stairs.
I bought this to replace my T-Series Pet vacuum. The cord was longer, and the width was wider. I too, have issues with the brush stopping, and I have adjusted the height to get it to work. I have one major issue which is likely going to make me replace this product.
I like to use my vacuum in the upright position when doing stairs. Unfortunately, when this vacuum is in upright, the brushes do not move. So your choices are using the vacuum on a horizontal position. With that, the handle distance is ~33" for holding it on the stairs, overall length is ~48". So if you have landings, 90 deg turns, steep stairs, or curved stair case, you could have difficulty maneuvering this 18lb machine while working it back and forth with your arms spread (and balancing). The other option is to use the "stair tool" . So why did I buy 15" width when a 4" width will take even longer to d my stairs. So if you do the vertical position for stairs, this is not the vacuum for you.

Hard to push
I have hard wood floors with one rug in a large room. This vacuum is almost impossible to push on the rug even on the highest setting. I have to bend down so the handle of the vacuum is below a 45 degree angle. The cord rewind feature is sometimes hit or miss. These are the only two issues I have come across. Suction is good and vacuum is easy to assemble. Would probably not buy again if I knew it was going to be so hard to push though.

Decent
I recently bought this to replace my old vacuum. I was very disappointed in the air powered pet tool, because I was under the impression (based on photos and the box itself) that the tool came with bristles, which mine did not. Don't know if it was just missing or if it doesn't actually come with it, but that was something I wanted since I have dogs who shed frequently.
