The use of the word "doormat" in the description is way off base. This very expensive mat is not one that would go by a door. It is too thick and not at all intended to wipe your feet or shoes on as it is a very slick material and completely flat surface. The description is very misleading. There is little use for this mat unless you want to stand on it by the kitchen sink.
