Disintegrated in sunlight!!!
This is a "CORD-LESS" shade...
For the money, this is a beautiful shade and I've received many compliments on it - however...
I placed them in my sunny, warm bay windows, and found that after one summer, the backing materials disintegrated and lower frame warped. I will attempt to return these. They just did not perform as I wanted. Will do fine in shaded places.

No cord, must push up
If the shade doesn't have a cord the only way to get it to go up is to push it. It pulls relatively easily but if it's so high up, you must use a step stool to pull it down (unless you add a pull tab or string) and then if you want it to go all the way up, you have to use a step stool. Maybe I'm missing something, but the instructions don't allude to how to operate this relatively nice shade (for the money).
