I learned from another review that if you have the spout in the upright position and stick a finger in that space and push up on the filter/blade, it will pop out. You may need to remove the pulp catcher and stick a finger in that space and push up also. If I take the top off and turn it upside down, I can take it to the sink without dripping. It cleans easily. As soon as I'm thru using it, I rinse the parts off under running water. The only thing that needs scrubbing is the blade and filter and they require a brush. If some juice wants to spurt out, I hold my jar up at an angle so the juice doesn't overshoot - I had that trouble with watermelon. It's not too loud, not too big and it looks great on my counter. This is my first juicer and I've had it a couple of months. I used a Jack LaLane several times and decided I'm happy with this one.

Great Juicer
I agree with Jessica - this is a great juicer at a great price. A friend has the Breville, but Sharper Image is just as good at half the price. I have much counter space - so this works well. I've had mine for a year.

Good Juicer
I don't know why the ratings for this juicer are so terrible. I've had it now for about 2 years and it's still serving it's purpose! Grant it, it's no Breville Juice Fountain (which is what I really want), but for the cost, it performs just as I had expected, does exactly what I need it to do, and is very easy to clean. You do have to chop some larger fruits, like apples, in half because the feeder isn't wide enough.

Do Not Buy This Juicer
Do not buy this juicer for yourself or someone else.
My husband registered for it for our wedding and we received it as a gift. He used it once or twice when we first got it. I recently used it (about 2 years) later and the plastic on the top cracked in half and pulp went all over my kitchen. Honestly, there could have been an accident. I guess I should of been wearing eye protection!
Sharper Image won't do anything for it. The company that makes the product, EMSON, won't replace any parts past the 1 year warranty. I understand the warranty, but how about offering a replacement part for purchase?
I'm SO glad I didn't buy this myseld and received it as a gift. It is completely useless and I hate that I have to throw it out now.
