I love this Crock Pot!
I love this crock pot and have had no problems with it. I've used it several times, mainly cooking on low heat. I find that the crock pots with timers tend to cook a little hotter than the older crock pots without a timer, so I generally use low heat, and I cook for the lesser length of time listed on the recipe before I let the crock pot switch to warm. This way, the meat doesn't fall apart, but it is still tender and juicy. I'm giving the crock pot 4 stars, because sometimes I would like to cook at high temperature for an hour, and then I would like it to switch to low temperature for a while before switching to warm. However, this crock pot does not have the ability to do that. You must choose either high or low temperature, not a combination of the two. But for the price, it does the job for me, and the food is always moist and delicious. I find that it is helpful to brown my meat, especially a roast, in a skillet before putting it in the crock pot. This gives the meat a much richer flavor. It would be nice to be able to do this directly in the crock pot, but this one does not have that feature (I'm sure the price would be much higher if it did!). Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and with the price in relation to the features that this crock pot has.

Love it.
I had a crockpot 30 yrs ago and it got broken. I did not replace it because I did not need one. I am older and wiser now, and my time means so much more now. I got new one about 4 months ago, and am so pleased. It is magic. Put raw food in, take wonderful meals out. Me = Happy. Thank you!

Runs WAAAAY too hot...
The first 2 times I used this I was around and able to keep my eye on my food. Things turned out great and moist. Today I cooked a few lbs of chicken (put them in slightly frozen still) and put it on low for 5 hours (recipe called for HIGH for 6 hours). When I got home it was on "Warm" as it was supposed to switch too, but the sauce was boiling... not just simmering (which on warm is still too hot). My chicken was burned and unsalvageable.
This is going back... I just wish I could find my receipt because there are some better options out there are other stores.

Disappointed
I researched crock pots, looking at reviews and functions, and decided this was perfect! I've made four items in it and three of the four have BURNED! My 6-1/2 qt. crock never boils, never burns. I am disappointed and will be hesitant to use it in the future. That's my experience.
