Great Buy!
I own the plastic version and the stainless steel version and I love both, but the stainless is well worth the buy! I don't know what afnoel from Texas is talking about. You're not supposed to use this product to mix your salad dressing with your salad. Obviously some people lack common sense, even when using a salad spinner.

The Mercedes of salad spinners
I bought this after getting tired of cheap plastic spinners breaking. You might be paying a little bit more for this, but you're getting so much more in return. First, the bowl is a good size and made of stainless steel, which is so much more sanitary and durable. The push top is locked down while storing it and has a soft feel to it where it has a rubber coating along with the push button brake. It is quiet while spinning and very smooth, where it spins a lot faster with a lot less effort than others that I've owned before. I'll go ahead and make a salad, and after cleaning it and putting it back in the bowl with the cover on it, the salad will stay fresh and crisp for well over a week.

I have used mine for 2 years and love it! It's amazing how much water it spins off your lettuce. Don't expect your lettuce to be 100% dry, but it's geat to keep from having your salad dressing be all watery or from using mega paper towels drying your lettuce! To HELPINGYOU from Sunny So Calif and Afnoel from Dallas,TX ....laughed so hard at these reviews!!! HelpingYou, you are so right! I can't fathom that anyone would even think of trying to mix their SALAD DRESSING WITH THEIR LETTUCE in this! And she had friends to help her do the same thing! Scary, these people are VOTING! LOL!

great product
the oxo salad spinner is used and it is great to get rid of excess water after you wash your greens. so that it would be dry and not soggy. A salad spinner is not used to spread your salad dressing or mix your salad.
