Great Item to Have
Great for one handed use, small, convenient, and travels easy enough for cook outs. I have had two for many years, one for salt and one for pepper, and have given them as gifts. I have a variety of pepper and salt mills and this little item is used the most.

"Playing House" effect
I could not believe the size of this item! I was completely shocked by how tinky tiny they were. Almost comical. I'd be absolutely embarrased to put this in my brand new kitchen. I didn't even bother to open them and try them. They went back to the store. Don't buy this for a bridal shower, housewarming, unless you want them to talk about your gift afterwards.

Love these!
These are really small! That was one thing that surprised me as I purchased them from seeing them online only - however I actually prefer the size to some of the big ones you get as they dont need to be that big anyway. They look really stylish - I think these are the nicest I've seen actually! They distribute the pepper and salt well! The salt one sometimes is harder to use and you have to use more force to push it but not a problem.
To use you just push them top down. Easy to refill also.

Love these!
I was hesitant to get these because although I love the look of them other reviews on different sites were not so favorable...particularly in regards to ease of use. I really have had no trouble. They are stylish and not hard to use. They grind as you press down on them with your thumb. From time to time my thumb isn't strong enough to grind a piece of the rock salt but I just use my other hand hit it and we're all good. I guess if you artheritis it isn't the most ergonomical mill but I love them and don't find them to be troublesome.
