DOES WHAT IT CLAIMS
I bought a complete set of Keepeez at a county fair demonstration and love that the advertised claims really work. You can push a lid way down into the dish of food and the lid will stay secure. The bowl can be totally upside-down and nothing spills out or leaks. The only way to release the vacuum seal is to push on the section under the little handle protrusion of the lid.
My only drawback from using these lids more often than I do is that the lids are always bigger than the bowls or cans I put them on and then the lids take up way too much refrigerator space compared to the containers they are covering.
I store most of the Keepeez lids with my other plastic container lids in an actual upright lid holder in an overhead cupboard. The only size that is hard to find storage for is the very largest lid because it won't fit sideways in the lid holder or in the overhead cupboard so I have to lay it flat somewhere out of the way so it doesn't get used very much now.
I don't do yard parties but I think these would be nice lids to cover food bowls on a picnic table but then maybe most guests wouldn't really know how to open and close them properly. If it's just your family on the patio they would probably use them correctly and the food would stay vacuum sealed and protected from pests.
The softness of the expanding lid material seems fragile but it is tougher than it looks. Still, I baby them carefully when I wash, dry, and store them. Supposedly they can go in the dishwasher but I prefer handwashing in warm soapy water.
