Expensive But Worth It

Happy customer
I use the filter alot. I use a minimum of a 1/2 gallon a nite just to fill water bowls for pets. I drink alot of water also. I find it tastes just like bottled water and it tends to last me 2-3 months. I am happy with it. I also had an issue with one filter in that there were tiny pieces of carbon coming out. I called the company and they sent me a coupon worth $20 for a new filter. I like a company that stands behind their product.

Exorbitantly expensive
These filters last 1 mth. in Manhattan generally, even though PUR advertises on the package that each filter lasts at least 3 mos. They are priced at a whopping $18. per filter, incl. tax. In Manhattan it is wise to double filter if your bldg. is older than 30- 50 yrs. - faucet and pitcher - so this is quite expensive and prohibitive. One is better off w/ an under-the-sink filtration system, which is far better than what PUR offers and more cost effective. AND until recently, they offered 3 faucet filters for $32., NOW they only sell 2 faucet filters for $34. and change, plus tax. Astounding considering the economy. They obviously do not care about their customers, particularly in NYC.
