Great Thermometer
I bought this to use while smoking pulled pork. It has been used quite a bit, very convenient to have a magnet on the back so it can be hung on the frame of the smoker or the stove.
Have used it for making pulled pork, prime rib, pork loins.
only problems I have found:
-the plastic tube is pulling out of the probe, but still functions just fine
- on occasion I notice it jumps between Celsius and Fahrenheit but I think this will be my 3rd summer and it gets used/abused quite a bit so for $20 i'm not going to complain at all.
overall, very accurate, nice to have the timer, the alarm function is very nice, well worth the money

My favorite Kitchen Gadget!
My son bought this for me for Christmas 5 or so years ago. It is the one gadget that is used daily, and several times a day. It stays on my stove hood 24/7. Since mine is an older model, the probe is made of metal mesh instead of the improved plastic one I've seen in the stores now. But it works just fine. i love this, and when I'm invited to Bridal showers, this is my usual gift.
Also, even with daily use, and usually several times a day, I've never had to change out the battery!! (Now watch, now that i've said that, the battery will die! LOL)

Best thing since sliced bread!
I no longer have to open the oven or guess when my meat is done. The result is perfectly cooked meats that are moist and delicious. I even use it when grilling. The alert is a great feature and the beep is shrill enough to hear easily. I actually set the temp 4-10 degrees below where I really want it so that the meat doesn't end up overcooked due to carryover cooking.

AWESOME
This is one, if not the best, investments I ever made. It works for oven and grill!!! Beeps to remind you when proper temp is reached. No more dry pork or chicken for me. Great gadget!!!
