Very rich set
WE have the Tan color and we like it very much. We are having some issues with the coffee cups and saucers chipping in the dishwasher and Microwave. That is the one problem I amd asking about so hope to hear from Mikasa soon on that .

Gorgeous
This place setting is absolutely gorgeous. I love that it's so versatile I can use it for every day dinnerware or mix and match it with my fine china. One important thing to be aware of is the color - the description describes it as "solid white" and it's not. It's ivory.

We have been enjoying this pattern for several years, and just had to replace some pieces. I recommend these dishes wholeheartedly.

A product with style & elegance
I needed a new set of dinnerware to use for the holidays to accommodate large family gatherings (our other sets were only service for 8), and was looking for something in a 'neutral' color and style that could be mixed well with any color. I didn't want stark white. Out of the various Mikasa patterns I looked at, I liked the French Countryside pattern because of the simple, but elegant styling. I can create a rustic, farm style look with wood charger plates and earthy decorations, or dress my table in style with gold chargers and glass/metallic candle holders. French Countryside suits my style and personality.
