I love these dishes, but when I registered for them, my guests who bought them in the stores were confused between the Colorwave White and the Colorwave Cream, both are very close in color. If you register for these dishes, be careful that they are all the same color.

Classic
My set of Colorwave White in the coupe shape is a classic design modernized with the different textures of matte and high gloss. They are beautiful in their simplicity and will be timeless dining pieces that can be used for formal or casual dining. The weight and shape of the dishes are excellent and feel like a quality piece of stoneware.

Love This Dinnerware!
I was looking for a creme or white dinnerware set that was durable enough for everyday use and versatile enough to use for special occasions when I didn't want to use my fine china. I was ready to purchase another set, but was concerned about chipping noted in some of the reviews. I also wanted large cereal/soup bowls and large mugs instead of cups/saucers but most sets either didn't have these larger peices, or they had to be purchased separately. The salesperson in my BB & B china dept was very knowlegeable and explained the difference between stoneware, ceramic, bone china, etc. She took one of the cups from a Noritake colorwave set and rapped it against the edge of the table to demonstrate how durable this dinnerware is. I first ordered a set with the rim in the "creme" color, but it was darker than it appeared online and seemed to have a slight pinkish cast so I returned it for the "white" which is not a pure white but more of a creamy eggshell color on the rim of the plates and the outside of the bowls and cups, with a slightly darker creamy off-white color in the center of the plates and inside the bowls and cups. Love the look and they go with any color table linens. The mugs are shaped like a large coffee cup with a very slight flare at the rim so they are comfortable to hold and sip from and generously sized. The bowls are also very large. I was able to order serving peices online and extra bowls with rims (can't have enough bowls...cups and saucers are also available if you prefer them). I highly recommend this dinnerware.
