No problem towels
I recently redecorated my bathroom and reviewed various brands of towels offered by BBB. I was surprised at the negative comments about these towels. I have had these in white for a few years and have had no problems at all. From the initial first wash up until now I'm totally satisfied with them. I decided to buy them again for my redecorate project and chose red this time. They are as good as the white ones. No laundering or absorbancy problems.

Not Happy
I received these towels/hand towels/washcloths for my bridal shower. I washed them once to put in our new bathroom. However, after washing there was a lot of lint leftover in my washing machine. I threw them in the dryer and had to clean the lint catcher 3 times while they dried because there was so much lint. When I pulled them out, they still had lint balls on them which flew off everywhere when I shook them. I don't need the mess in my bathroom every time they are used so I took them back. I definitely would not recommend these towels!

Had For Over a Year
Wow! I swear when I researched buying new towels, these had a much higher rating. I thought my review would be one of the worst. Now it seems to be a higher rated one. I've used these for over a year. I find the towels to be soft, but not as soft as they used to be. But they are softer than any towel I'd had before. I can see why people might not think it has the greatest absorbency, but not a huge problem for me. One thing that bothered me is the claim that it is bleach safe. Not really. I bought the ivory and light blue. (I can't imagine getting the darker colors and using bleach). The ivory seems fine with bleach, but the light blue either had splotches or lightened considerably. I know this because I bought too many towels and have some that I really haven't used. I can see the difference between the towels that get washed regularly and the ones that hardly get used. If you don't plan on bleaching, or want just white or ivory, I'd recommend.

Best Towels I've Ever Used
These are the softest, most absorbent towels I've even used. However, if you don't wash them properly before using them, they have 0 absorbency and will cover you with lint. Towel companies treat their towels with chemicals so that they do not absorb moisture while sitting on the store shelves, so you have to get rid of this chemical otherwise the towels will not dry you off. These towels in particular seem to have gotten extra pre-treatment. The trick to charging these towels up is to toss them in the wash with one cup of white vinegar, then again with a cup of baking soda. It's a process, I know, but once you break them in and get rid of the chemicals and lint, they are the softest most absorbent towels you will ever use, with 0 shedding. Trust me.
