Great idea
I recently purchased this stainless steel carafe to replace the two glass ones I already broke.
It keeps the coffee hot longer then the glass ones.

Great Purchase
I purchased the 10 cup stainless carafe to replace the 12 cup glass carafe that my son broke twice and tired of spending the money to replace it. I picked up the hint from someone who went through the same thing and said that the10 cup stainless carafe fits the 12 cup coffee maker perfectly. Thanks to him for the hint.

Cuisinart automatic grind & brew
We have been using this for 5 years and love it. You can set a timer to grind the beans and start the brewing process. It's O.K. if you forget to turn it off when you leave the house because there is no burner. I have had coffe the next morning that is still warm in the thermos caref. We are just now replaceing the thermos caref because the handle brook.

Thermal Carafe
I returned it and bought a whole new Cuisinart coffee maker with the Thermal carafe and am disappointed because the warming plate goes off and you cannot get it to stay on and the coffee is not hot and by the time you get your second cup, it is not even warm. I have not had a chance to call Cuisinart but I am hoping to in the next day or two. I don't know if it is defective or if that is how it is supposed to be. I am so disappointed because I have been through several of the glass carafes. Nothing is worse than lukewarm coffee...
