Its temperature probe can be adjusted from warm to 450°, and the indicator light turns off when desired temperature is reached. Skilllet has an extra-large cooking surface of 12" W x 15" L x 3" D and 1500 watts of power. Construction is brushed stainless steel with a non-stick interior and die-cast stainless steel handles. Cover is tempered glass with a stainless steel rim and handle. Remove temperature probe and skillet becomes fully immersible and dishwasher safe. Limited three-year warranty. UL listed. Cuisinart Electric Skillet
Original skillet was returned due to plug in element did not maintain temp. New skillet does excellent job at maintaining temp. Large oval surface is great . Love cooking in it.

Junk
I tried two of these. With the first one, the second time I used it, the heating element popped, and no longer worked. I returned it to Bed Bath and Beyond. I tried the second one, and it sounded strange when I plugged it in. It never reached a higher temperature. I had to finish the cooking process in the oven. This one is going back today.

Great size but some quirks
I love the size and how easy it is to clean the frypan. My main complaint is that when the frypan reaches its set temperature, for example 350 degrees, it basically shuts off and doesn't seem to maintain the heat. I noticed this when frying eggs. When the temperature light went out, the eggs didn't seem to continue cooking until I increased the temperature setting.
