Very happy with product! Softest comforter ever!
After trying out 4 other comforter sets from Macy's & other dept stores, I added this Blakely set to my bridal registry on a whim because of the color. I was going for an all black/white/grey scheme in my bedroom. Having done my registry online and not actually seeing the set until my shower, I must say I was PLEASANTLY SURPRISED! The colors are exactly as they appear online. I wish I could upload a picture of my room to show you. I don't know what these other reviewers are saying that it seems purple or taupe, but mine is DEFINITELY GREY. (Target makes a grey microfiber sheet set that matches perfectly & is incredibly soft, FYI incase anyone needs coordinating sheets.)
My issue with sets I purchased from other stores is that they were always too stiff...felt like I was sleeping on sandpaper. But this comforter is so soft it's like a microfiber and very light. Does not make us sweat at all, and my husband is always hot. For the price, you really can't beat it...I paid about $200 for the other sets I tried and ended up returning all of them.
The only reason I didn't rate 5 stars is because of the finishing work on the seems like others have mentioned. Some of the "tufted" parts of the seems were not finished all the way through so the stuffing started to shift around inside my comforter. However, I just called BBB and they will exchange it for me no problem. Hopefully I dont have the same problem again. But 5 stars on BBB customer service!

Love the Design but Wears Fast
I got this about a year ago and for the price I paid for it, I really loved it for awhile. I love the pattern and it goes with just about anything, which is nice because I change my color scheme a lot.
The disappointing thing with this set is that it seems to be made cheaply and all of the threads on mine are fraying. It seems like every week I am getting out the scissors and cutting away loose threads, which is disappointing.
Bottom line, I probably would not buy this again. While I still like it, I just wish that it hadn't worn so bad. I am starting to shop for a new comforter because I just don't think this one looks quite as nice as it used to. Was it the most disappointing purchase I ever made? No, but like I said, I probably wouldn't do it again.

Mixed Feelings
First things first, this bedding set looks great. It's sharp and contemporary and looks great in our bedroom. The material is also very soft, which is great for me because I loathe scratchy bedding materials. However, there are definitely some issues with this set which knock it down a few stars for me. As others have stated, the "Black/Gray" color is misleading. It is most definitely a Black/Taupe color so if you're buying this to fit a particular decorating scheme, think again. Also, the comforter was a bit lumpy when we bought the set 4 months ago and only seems to be getting lumpier. If it holds up a full year I'll be surprised. The biggest issue with this set though is that it doesn't breathe. I tend to be freezing all the time. I've been known to sleep under the covers with sweatpants, a hoodie, and socks. But this comforter makes me boiling hot. Even while sleeping in a tank top and shorts I end up tossing the covers off halfway through the night and often wake up sweaty and overheated. This is the first time in my life I've ever encountered this and it coincides to the first night I changed our bedding to this set. Even though I love how this set looks, I plan on giving it away because I can't handle the nightly sweats and interrupted sleep.

Love it
Love the material, it is so soft! The grey has a hint of purple in it, sort of like a gunmetal steel, which i wasnt expecting. Some of the threads are coming up I hope it doesnt fall apart
