very very poor
I bought this brand because my prior electric can opener that I had for over 10 years was a Cuisinart; After only about 10 uses of my new one, the lever did not catch properly and it was useless.
Very poorly made. A shame for Cuisinart; I also, in the past year, had bought a hand held mixer from them; it broke after about 3 uses....same story; my prior Cuisinart mixer was at least 15 years old; something has drastically changed with this company; will stay away from them from now on. sad. I used to think that they were dependable.
P,S..This is the first review I have EVER written for an appliance; that is how bad it is!

Don't waste your money
I bought this can opener a year ago to match my stainless steel appliances in my brand new home. I don't use a can opener often, so I might have used this one a total of 10 times in the last year. After the second use, the opener stopped working properly. I have to wiggle the lever and hold it at a certain "sweet" spot to make it work. I am now looking for a new can opener. Unfortunately, I did not read the reviews before I made this purchase because I was foolish and thought, "How can you mess up with a can opener?" Well I was wrong. Do not spend the money on this one. It is over priced and does not operate correctly!

the worst!
Do not buy this! It looks great but that's about it. It doesn't work. Shame on you, Cuisinart! Was this can opener not tested before it went on the shelves? It NEVER worked. It's junk...that's about it. Don't waste your time or money!

AWFUL
For our wedding registry, I was dumb and ignored all the horrible reviews because it looked nice and was stainless steel. I deeply regret it - It really is the worst can opener ever. Don't waste your time.
