Pouring shield
This was purchased as a gift for my daughter. Every time she used her Kitchenaid Professional Mixer, food would fly out of the bowl across the room. this shield has made it easier to keep her kitchen clean and makes her actually want to use the mixer now,.

Pretty Good, But Not Perfect
I got tired of having flour fly all over my counter when mixing bread and cakes and having trouble adding ingredients, so I got this shield. I wish I could say it was perfect, but it's a little lacking. It HAS cut down on the flour shower and made adding ingredients a lot easier, but the shield has an opening in the back where it slides over the beater (think U-shaped), so there's still an opening where flour can fly out. I know some of the other models have a two-piece shield that completely seals the bowl, so it would have been nice for this one to be designed the same way. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase, I just have to remember to hold something over the opening at the beginning of mixing so the bowl is sealed off completely.
