Just What We Needed!
We received this item off of our wedding registry and wow! It's just what we needed! If you're wondering if you should spend the extra $ to get the corn stripper that holds the corn or the one that lets the corn fall off the cob onto the plate, get that one that holds the corn! You won't be disappointed. I also love how it is dishwasher safe.

My wife's is happy with this product
Historically my wife claims that the kitchen gadgets that I buy are nothing but junk. This is a FIRST! She has nothing but praise for this corn stripper which makes stripping corn with no mess. The cut is smooth and clean. Now, if I can only repeat with the next gadget I buy.

Best Corn Stripper
After trying many different types of corn strippers, I'm so glad to have finally found this one! I purchased it yesterday, used it last night, and I LOVE it! When getting ready to use it, I was inspecting the design. I expected the kernels to fall out between the blade and cup wall, but I was pleasantly surprised to find the majority of the kernels were held inside the cup with ease.
My favorite feature has to be that it collects and holds the corn. I usually cook my corn still on the cob in boiling water. Before purchasing this corn stripper I would use a knife to cut it off. By the time I finished removing the kernels (2-3 minutes max), my corn would be too cool to melt butter. With the removal so quick and the collection of the corn in the cup, the corn stays hot until I empty the cup; butter melts painlessly.
Also, since my corn is piping hot when I strip it, I use a clean hand/kitchen towel to hold the opposite side while stripping. The next time I strip corn, I think I'll try it with the corn horizontal on a plate. Last night I stripped the corn vertically.
I highly recommend this item!!
