OXO Good Grips Citrus Squeezer
Featuring the design of a traditional juicer with the functionality of a modern one, the OXO Good Grips Citrus Squeezer is easy and effective. Simply place the lemon or lime half into the bowl face down and squeeze the handles to fully extract the juice. It has non-slip pressure absorbing handles, die-cast aluminum construction and non-stick coating. Dishwasher safe.

Lime Queen
I used one of these at our time-share in Cancun and could hardly wait to get home and order one. The best thing that ever happened to my salsa.

A Poor Imitation of the Classic Original
Normally I’m a big fan of OXO products and I own plenty – but in this case, after returning a classic Mexican-made citrus squeezer – the familiar age-old design but unfortunately the paint on the painted version had begun to peel – I opted to spend the extra dollar in change to try the OXO “emulated” version and purchased an additional as a gift for a friend. I could tell immediately upon first use that extra pressure was needed – and the dimpled design forces contact of the opposing plates away from the pulp so that each lime half is not completely squeezed. I make fresh stevia limeade and lemonade frequently, and using 12 limes plus water for a half gallon, I was curious to see how much additional juice I could recover from a lime half just by hand squeezing after the OXO product performed so poorly. I was able to recover ½ tablespoon per lime half – thus 12 TABLESPOONS OR ¾ CUP WOULD HAVE BEEN WASTED had I not hand squeezed each AFTER using the OXO. And the limes I tested (and photographed as I tested) were neither the largest nor juiciest, so more waste than what I experienced is definitely possible. Any product that wastes valuable food is a big thumbs-down for me. I will be returning both to the store tomorrow and if only the painted version is available, paint issues or no, I will opt for the classic model. This is a bad product from the design up – from an otherwise good manufacturer.

Does exactly what it should. Pits remain in unit.
It is a great little tool.
