batteries don't last
I just threw out my 3rd Shark vacuum in 4 years. I LOVE the cordless option and got a lot of use out of my Sharks for the first 8-9 months. After that the battery starts faltering and I can't get more than 5 minutes without recharging and eventually they completely die. The VX1 model lasted me 15 months.

Not the best sweeper-the G2 is better!
First off I received this product in the most ugly green color and NOT teal, but that's besides the point. It does pick up dirt and cat hair alright, but the swivel is horrible. It's like pushing a vacuum back and forth, it's bulky, when you go to dump the tray hair and dirt get stuck and you have to use your hands and pull it out. I purchased the G2 sweeper and it is SO worth it. The G2 you can dump with the push of button, but the swivel on it is AWESOME. It glides across floors and carpet easily and under chairs/table with out having to go back and forth. It also picks up better. I tried them both out and then returned this shark to the store. Not to mention it's a pain in the rear to have to bend over to push the release button at the very bottom of the stick for it to come down to start pushing. With the G2, there is none of that nonsense. Plus the G2 is in most stores and can use a 20% coupon and comes out to be a little bit cheaper in price. Do no recommend this product when there is a better product available through BB&B.

Surprising Pikc-up
I am very pleased with the performance of this sweeper. It picks up surprisingly well, very handy for daily quick sprucing up without needing to drag out the heavy vacuum, its very easy and dust free to empty and I love the feature that allows the handle to bend 90 degrees and reach well under beds and furniture without having to bend over. Be prepared that the cleaning path (width) is smaller than a regular vacuum. I think its a plus as it fits in places that my large vacuum doesn't. Overall, great product for the price. I only hope that it holds up over time well.

I use this in my kitchen to pick up after my grandson
comes over, as well as everyday pickups. It's great
on throw rugs as well. I'm able to go from my kitchen to my foyer on one charge with no problem.
I love it! Sure beats dragging out the big vacumn.
