Leaks even when locked
The major issue with this product is that the liquid contents of the shaker drip out even when the top is screwed on as tightly as possible and the "locking" mechanism is pushed down and secured. When shaking up and down (as the product is displayed above) the contents of the shaker actually came up and out of the top towards the non-spout end. Furthermore the double insulation is nice but it leaves less room than one would desire if trying to fill anything above a 6oz martini glass. Rabbit/metrokane usually produce good products but this is one that should be avoided.

Best of breed
This shaker is awesome. But you have to use it correctly. Many people complained that it leaks, but they are not closing it correctly. To close the lid you need to press it down and then press it harder until it snaps closed. That's the trick. If you do not feel it snap closed, it will leak. I say to those who rated it poorly, buy it and try it again. If you close it until it snaps, you will love it.

Works great if you use it properly!
I wanted to get this shaker, because it screws together. I cannot seem to get other shakers apart that snap together. This shaker works great, but it's a little tricky to get the hang of. You must close the flip top tightly before you attach it to the shaker and start shaking. If you do not close the fliptop tight and it starts to leak, you need to completely remove and drain the lid, shake out all the liquid and try again or the liquid trapped in the lid will just continue to leak out. Once you realize how tightly you need to snap down the flip top you will get the hang of it. I put the lid on the counter and push down with the palm of my hand till it snaps deeply back in place. Also, do not overfill it. I only gave it 4 stars because you can only make one drink at a time and then you have to make sure you get all the liquid out of the lid from your pour, before you start again. Overall I love it!!
