At first I loved it...then
This was a VERY sharp knife of of the box. However, within a few routine uses (slicing tomatoes, vegs) it had virtually lost it's edge. I am unable to get the edge back with a stone. I was really disappointed as I never owned a Henckel before and got it as a gift. I read other reviews of the Mikado line and they point out that has 'cheap' steel that loses and does no regain its sharp edge. I concur. It now sits unused in my knife drawer..was hoping there was a trick to getting it sharp again but no luck after extensive web search. It is not worth its bargain price. I saw one new on eBay for $7.00!!! Looks like yard sale fodder.
