AMCO Fat Separator
This AMCO fat separator is designed to give you the best tasting gravy or sauce without the fat and grease that collects in the mixture. Simply pour your pan drippings through the top (strainer is also removable), wait for the grease to settle on the top and release the liquid by squeezing the handle. Your sauce or gravy will slip through the bottom, while the grease and fat will be left in the container. Fat separator holds up to 32 ounces. Dishwasher safe.

Waste of money
The concept is great but execution woefully subpar. The first one I bought was broken out of the box. The second one worked great for two or three times, then when I poured the cooking juices into it today they all ran out the bottom. Same defect as the first one: the little plastic stopper at the base had broken off. If AMCO fixes the design/manufacturing flaw, this would be a very useful product--easier to use and more effective than the type with the spout that reaches to the bottom of the container.

better than old fashioned separators
my mother- in-law had this separator at christmas.i used it to separate the turkey drippingsand it was so much easier and worked so much better than old fashioned bottom mounted spout separators. i immediately wanted one.

Thanksgiving Disaster
We used this for the second time during Thanksgiving. Our guest triggered the handle, the ring fell off, covering the Thanksgiving table with globs of gravy as my guests looked shock and my husband valently tried to scoop up the gravy flood. It is surprising how much area 4 cups of gravy can cover.

only lasts for one use
I thought this was the best thing since slices bread until I tried to use it more than once. The bottom ring broke off and chicken soup went all over my counter top, what a mess.
