Humidifier has an ultrasonic technology that allows for virtually silent operation. The UV light safely and effectively kills germs and bacteria in the water. Humidifier runs for 32 hours on the high setting and has a digital LCD for precise humidity control. Also features an auto LED refill indicator, waterless auto-off protection, 24 hour timer and nightlight feature on center panel. There is no filter to clean or replace. Completely Unusable
It's horrifying that this product can even be sold. It is unusable. I would give it ZERO stars but 1 is the minimum allowed. Water goes in, comes right out the bottom. Out of the seams, out of the grated bottom, everywhere. Yes, I know how to use a humidifier, yes the caps were on tightly, yes it was on a level surface, yes it soaked everything around it and yes it's going back to the store. Barely had a chance to test the mist because I turned it off once i had to start grabbing towels. Huge disappointment as I was excited about the UV light feature but who knows if that would work as intended since clearly they can't even put the thing together properly in the casing.

not as described
Because I'm looking for another humidifier - and reading reviews on them - I thought it only fair to write why this one didn't survive last winter. First, there is the beeping when it's out of water, as others have noted. It was audible from another room and woke my mother up. Then, I'm not sure I understand the cartridges. We used them. We ran through water very quickly and regularly - not sitting stagnant. We used distilled water most of the time. And, yet, it took about a day for pink slime to grow all through the water areas. It was difficult to clean and impossible to keep away. I don't know how you tell if the UV system is working or not - other than the light that says it's "on." It was quiet running - it didn't leak - it didn't have lots of parts to continually replace - and the mist was pleasant enough when there wasn't mildew in it - so I'll give it two stars. But, since my goal was not to deal with mildewy filters, this had to go back. Luckily, BB&B has a very good return policy, which is why I'm back here looking for another one this year.

returning it
won't turn off, warm air coming out cool, tank leaks when held upright, mist doesn't dispurse into air, just goes about 3 inches about unit. expected a lot more for the money and the brand. bought it this morning, going back tomorrow.

Sleeping Better
This humidifier is AMAZING. It has so many features and functions in a fairly compact unit. Dry winter weather really messes with my breathing and makes it REALLY hard to sleep through the night. This has two HUGE tanks that run for a long time. I only have to refill once or twice a week depending on how long I leave it on. The cool mist is really refreshing but can cool down the room a little. The warm mist isn't HOT, but it's not supposed to be...just keeps the room from cooling off. It also has a timer so I don't have to remember to shut it off before I dash off to work and the nightlight is very subtle. The knob to adjust the mist really has a big range and it's neat to see a big plume of mist come out! I've had this for about two weeks and I am DEFINITELY sleeping better! I haven' t had any problems with leaking and no white dust since I use the little blue capsules that come with it...just plop them in the tank! LOVE this unit!!
