Aluminum Requires Extra Care
My fiance and I registered for the Dansk Metal collection specifically because the pieces are light weight. The metal is aluminum, which makes it light weight, and as such does require extra care. The instructions on how to care for the Dansk Metal Pieces informed us that we should spray the salad bowl with a PAM olive oil (or similar) before use in order to prevent the acidity in foods to eat away at the finish. I think these pieces are beautiful and we look forward to receiving more pieces.

Poor Quality
We just received this for our wedding. For the high price, it should be made of a nice metal. It is actually an extremely light, seemingly-hollow metal that is definitely not worth the money. Should be priced about $30, maximum. We do not recommend.

Do NOT Purchase this item
The quality of these pieces is truly terrible. While it claims to be "stainless" steel, in truth we used them 3 times before they started acquiring black splotches- after 10 uses, they were covered with black spots. The same happened to a friend who bought them.
I complained to the company and was told not to use them with salad dressing! THEY ARE SALAD SERVERS- how does one not use them with dressing????
Bottom Line: Total garbage-- buy from a better quality manufacturer...
