Changed My LIFE!
I bought this on a whim. I suffer from spinal metastases and have had several compression fractures in my spine. Being comfortable while sitting is difficult and uncomfortable even in the best of circumstances; put me on a plane or in a car for a long trip, and I can be stiff and miserable in moments. Long, social meals in restaurants? Not very enjoyable when I am in so much pain. This simple, very inexpensive, light-weight item made my recent plane travel COMFORTABLE! I was able to sit in a restaurant with friends for a three-hour meal without needing pain medication. I feel like I have my life back. If you're a family member or friend with back issues, don't worry about buying one for yourself; you're getting it for Christmas!

Best $10 ever!
I hurt my back doing too many stupid things (like I used to be able to do when I was young) and none of my chairs at home have good lumbar support. I found this back support in a BB&B store and thought, "what the heck." My gosh. I can't believe how comfortable it is.
I only give it 4 stars because of the bungee cords that I have to keep track of, although honestly I haven't used them yet. I've moved this support from a kitchen chair to a recliner and even used it as a knee support in bed to ease the pressure on my lower back. I will be taking it to the car next.
I think it would probably get more support if I messed with the bungee cords, but it helps a lot even without. The instructions are not at all clear on how to use the bungees.
